Are storage radiators more money to run then conventional radiators?
I am due to move into a new property in three weeks time and it has electric storage radiators and not conventional radiators. Do they cost more money to run then normal radiators…
It’s an odd one this as the night storage heaters use "economy 7" electricity. I.e they store heat in the night when electricity is cheaper to buy. They are not ideal by any stretch though.
They are clumbersome old things and most people end up ripping them out and putting in a gas / oil fired central heating system.
I think in answer to your question they probably are cheaper on a ? / ? basis, but they are hard to control and not very user friendly, hence most people get shot of them and opt for a wet system

Yes. Electricity is more expensive unless you are on economy 7 (cheep electricity at night), then you heat up the heaters at night, but most of the heat will radiate during the day. So by the evening very little heat left. Great if you work nights.
Gas central heating is far better, as you can switch it on when needed. But gas central heating is more expensive to install.
I would switch you electricity supplier to get the best deals.

Assuming they run on the Economy 7 night time tarriff then probably fairly similar.
Storage heaters do have some advantages:
You can switch some of them off…
In the event of a power cut, you’ll still have approx 24 hrs worth of heat.
Less chance of something going wrong with them and if one does fail, then only that one room effected / cost of repair likely to be less.
However you should check how old they are, ones from the pre 1970’s could contain Asbestos. Modern ones that are fixed to the wall and slimmer than their predecessors don’t.
If the property also as a hot water cylinder with an immersion heater, you should also ensure this as a timer so that it can also benefit from the cheaper night time electricity.

What do you mean by "conventional radiators". If you are comparing off peak electric heating with other forms of energy you will probably find it a little more expensive than natural gas or oil. Its probably cheaper than bottle gas but then so is buying a private jet.
If you are comparing it with other electric heating it is much, much cheaper. The new storage radiators are not cumbersome.
The plus point of storage radiators over oil or gas is the install cost may be cheaper. If the property already has them, then it will be very difficult to justify the cost of removing them and installing an oil or gas furnace and radiators.

i want to sell my xbox 360 for a new system?
My xbox is great but i want to sell it to get a ps3 to play online with my family. I have an Xbox arcade with these following games. Guitar hero 3, prey, ghost recon advanced war fighter, x-men origins wolverine, madden 09, army of two, sega superstar tennis, left for dead, rainbow six vegas 2,1, fable II, assassin’s creed, gears of war, the elder scrolls IV oblivion, head coach 09, golden compass, lord of the rings conquest, and call of duty 3. With a wireless stick and a corded stick. About how much do you think i can get if i sold this stuff to Game stop, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or Game Crazy.
None of the games would get a massive ammount. any game over a year or 2 old normally only gets a few quid (sorry im british….say….5 bucks…maybe) normally you’d get more selling on ebay to people looking to get them lower than they do in the shops.

I went to go sell my 360 and games and they where going to pay 120 for the system and about 5 dollars a game. Games Halo 3, Saints Row 2, and NHL 08. They are a bit older games so you may get a better deal.
P.S- $120 for a 360 NOT WORTH IT

WOW question: What is the best gear for a tauren druid?
Armor, trinkets, rings, etc… Any info would be appreciated. As of now I’m a lvl 70, sporting the thunderheart armor, Pillar of ferocity staff, my trinkets are: Sextant of unstable Currents & Madness of The Betrayer, my rings are: Band of the Eternal Sage & Band of the Champion. btw I’m on the Fusion WOW server, not sure if it makes any difference.
You’re using Band of the Eternal Sage with feral gear?! That weed must be fantastic.
In all seriousness it depends on what spec you want to go, be it Resto, Feral, or Balance. In my sources are links to EJ forum detailing what you can best do do maximize your character’s effectiveness. Just a tip, don’t mention you play on a private server.
