IMDB rating: 6.00 Plot: (SIRIUS 6B, Year 2078) On a distant mining planet ravaged by a decade of war, scientists have created the perfect weapon: a blade-wielding, self-replicating race of killing devices known as Screamers designed for one purpose only — to hunt down and destroy all enemy life forms But man’s greatest weapon has continued to evolve without any human guidance, and now it has devised a new mission: to obliterate all life. Col. Hendricksson (Peter Weller) is commander of a handful of Alliance soldiers still alive on Sirius 6B. Betrayed by his own political leaders and disgusted by the atrocities of this never-ending war, Hendricksson decides he must negotiate a separate peace with the New Economic Bloc’s decimated forces. Should I rehome my cockatiel?
I have two parrots and love them dearly—but am wondering if I should keep my cockatiel.
The reason is as follows:
My first parrot and her DO NOT get along (I had no clue he’d react like that, and she was a Christmas gift from my parents)–my Timneh Grey (a rescue) does NOT like her. Or at least the size difference poses a serious threat. But I don’t want to be doing the whole rotating of time-out-of-cage thing (I want them both to be able to hang out while I am home and fly around, they’re both flighted).
If she was bigger I wouldn’t be so worried because if two same sized birds get into a little squabble it’s not a problem–but even normal squabbling between a Grey and a cockatiel could injure her badly or worse.
She also is a screamer (I’ve tried everything short of a behaviourist–which is the next thing I’m looking into). I’ll be moving into an apartment soon—and don’t want to get thrown out because she’s a loud mouth.
They both eat Harrison’s and healthy people food and are flighted. I’m in the process of getting two new huge cages for them both (went through a rough patch financially). They’re both spoiled, sweet and are always included in as much of my daily routine as I can (showers, cage cleaning, laundry, meals…).
But I just don’t think it’s fair for one to be locked in a cage while the other is out and vice versa. As much as I think they get some company from each other during the day while I’m out at school, I don’t think it’s fair for them to half to live like that.
If I rehome her I may get a new rescue grey (or similar sized parrot) so that my grey has the flock experience (I sometimes get the impression that he just needs to learn birdie social skills as he spent 5 years in a basement alone with nothing before he came to me but obviously the tiel is way too small to teach him manners).
I love Sully the cockatiel but I’m beginning to think there’s no way to make this work and she’d be better off in a home with other tiels or someone who is home all day to love her continuously.
Thoughts?
@Flowers—thanks so much for all the help and understanding. I’ll definetly bring the grey with me when I go to choose a new playmate for him if that’s the road I take.
I know deep down that it would be better and safer for all three of us if she found a new home.
Yep, this is a tough choice. I had a Senegal for 15 years and got a just weaned hand raised Senegal for company as I worked a lot then. Well the older one had obviously been with me alone too long and he inflicted 3 serious injuries on the youngster, who, STILL tried to be friendly! I kept the older one out all the time and ony took the younger one when I could mediate. He’d sometimes tease the older one by diving at him. They had a morning ritual whe they chatted very quietly until they heard me up. I would get punished by the elder if I went directly from the younger to him (sometimes he’d sock me and other times a bad bite) so I’d have to wait a few minutes. I volunteer at a bird rescue from time to time and I suggest you bring the gray with when finding a companion. At the rescue, they always do this to avoid problems. They bond to us as playmates.
I guess I’m saying you should rehome the tiel and am sorry. I know it’s hard, but to know it’s being loved and the center of attention is comforting.

How many of you can relate to this?
This is what you get for loving me.
We yell till our gray matters blow,
and reduce the rubble to tears,
saltier than anyone would know.
Cry
and
cry,
a day
or two,
then we’re fine,
next time
we’re through.
Confessing our love
then back
to
I hate you.
It just doesn’t end,
a circle swirl of the psychedelic psychotic mishmash of events
we sum up to words
called
life and love.
We hit rock bottom
then
what’s above?
The angels sing their praises
when we reach the clouds.
Until
we hit that road block,
a mystery, then understanding shrouds.
We just don’t get it,
we’re frustrated,
complicated,
do this or that,
I don’t care, then
it’s back to ground zero.
Until
you realize who’s your hero.
Your villian,
your friend,
your beginning
and your end.
Your sorrow
and your joy,
your treasure
and your toy.
What does it matter?
What is it worth?
To take the ride again,
and go over those loops in that rolling
coaster; speed’s at its limit
yet
we ask for more.
Encore encore and more.
You say stop,
it’s too much,
it’s all too rough,
I’ve had enough.
But I feel stuck, and it’s on you.
I can’t let go even if I want it new.
It’s getting old but
my heart is sold.
What can I do?
For I love you?
It’s my prison and my chains,
my torture and my pain.
My inevitable doom.
And it repeats till
who knows when.
But it’s my armor painted chrome,
It’s in your arms that I find home.
My eternal salvation.
I run from you
until
I long for you again.
So what’s the deal?
Conclusion here,
despite the shouts and screams,
the cuts and bruises,
the scars and wounds,
despite them all.
We can’t let go of each other,
we can’t be apart.
We can’t forget and we can’t be through.
It’s crazy, so crazy. It’s the craziest thing to do.
But it just has to be this way
ever since the day
I said
I
love
you.
you’re bringing out the ugly cry in me….
(you have some talent there bud!!) bravo

Do you like *MY* poem?
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`’Tis some visitor,’ I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.’
Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore -
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels named Lenore -
Nameless here for evermore.
And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me - filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
`’Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door -
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door; -
This it is, and nothing more,’
Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
`Sir,’ said I, `or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you’ - here I opened wide the door; -
Darkness there, and nothing more.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before
But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, `Lenore!’
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, `Lenore!’
Merely this and nothing more.
Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
`Surely,’ said I, `surely that is something at my window lattice;
Let me see then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore -
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; -
‘Tis the wind and nothing more!’
Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door -
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door -
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.
Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
`Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,’ I said, `art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore -
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’
Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning - little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door -
Bird or beast above the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as `Nevermore.’
But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only,
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered - not a feather then he fluttered -
Till I scarcely more than muttered `Other friends have flown before -
On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before.’
Then the bird said, `Nevermore.’
Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
`Doubtless,’ said I, `what it utters is its only stock and store,
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful disaster
Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore -
Till the dirges of his hope that melancholy burden bore
Of "Never-nevermore."’
But the raven still beguiling all my sad soul into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird and bust and door;
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore -
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt, and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking `Nevermore.’
This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom’s core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion’s velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o’er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o’er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!
Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
`Wretch,’ I cried, `thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he has sent thee
Respite - respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’
`Prophet!’ said I, `thing of evil! -

does modern warfare 2 have a cool gunship level?
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!please =-)
ok MW1 had an awesome level where you manned a C130 gun and took out bad guys from the sky with a 50 calliber. Despite the easiness This was my favorite level of the game and in my opinion the funnest.
WaW had a decent level where you shot at patrol boats out of an airplane but it was no where near as much fun as the C130
so without giving out any info is there any level like the one in MW1.
also is there a cool sniper level like the previous two?
Yeah there is one in the mode "Special Ops".Seems like you can control a C130 in the mission.Collect enough stars to unlock "Bravo" and you can see it.However it’s a coop mission that needs 2 players to play together.
Sorry for my pool English.
Jasper C | Nov 20, 2009
This is NOT a spoiler:
not in the actuall campaign, but there is a two player equivalent in ’special ops’ mode where one player is on the ground and the other player supports them from the air in their AC130,gameplay is very similar but on a different map…you will love that level since you loved the CoD 4 version. Special Ops is nothing to do with the campaign so this isn’t a spoiler!
